The 1-stop range is calculated from the driving pattern and assumptions below. The total distance is the sum of the first and second driving legs. For vehicles that do not support fast charging, only the first leg is counted.
Driving pattern
- Start with a fully charged battery
- Drive until 10 % battery remains (first leg)
- Fast charge for 15 minutes
- Drive until 10 % battery remains again (second leg)
Assumptions
- Speed, climate and driving conditions correspond to Real Range Highway
- No extra time is added for starting or stopping the charging session
- The charger can always deliver the requested power
- The battery is in optimal condition
In real driving it is not possible to follow this profile exactly. The method is therefore best used for comparing vehicles under standardized conditions.
