A 186 mi trip in the Tesla Model S 90D costs about $11.44 in electricity at the selected prices in United States. With the default charging mix, the estimated monthly cost is around $68.09, or $5.97 per 100 mi with the selected consumption profile.

Estimated range in mild mixed driving is about 323 mi, and the calculated DC charging time from 10% to 80% is around 40 minutes. Every figure updates as you move the sliders, including a charging and fuel cost comparison for the same distance, starting with the Porsche Panamera 2.9 V6 and allowing you to select another rival.

Compare charging and fuel costs for this model

We have created dedicated comparison pages for this EV and selected petrol, diesel and hybrid rivals. The calculations use the EV's selected road-and-climate consumption estimate, an adjusted fuel-consumption estimate for the rival, and electricity and fuel prices for the selected market. Each page opens the calculator with that model pair preselected:

How this calculator works

EV consumption and range are calculated using model-specific estimates for different driving and climate conditions. The official WLTP range is shown for reference where available, but the calculations are based on the selected scenario rather than directly on the WLTP value.

The home-charging calculation includes an estimated 10% charging loss. No additional loss factor is currently applied to public DC charging. Electricity and fuel prices are market averages with a visible update date, and all prices, charging shares and mileage values can be adjusted with the sliders.

Fuel consumption for petrol, diesel and hybrid rivals is calculated from their official WLTP, EPA, NEDC or manufacturer figures using correction factors for the relevant test cycle. You can also replace the estimated consumption and fuel price with your own values.

All results are estimates. Weather, driving style, load, charging losses and local tariffs can change the actual result. The data behind this calculator is maintained and reviewed by the Elbil RADAR editorial team. If you spot an error, use the contact page and we will review it.
